Entries now open for the UK's most prestigious new music prize

Calling all composers – enter now for the chance to win £20,000 and a world premiere performance of your work

The Arts Club Sir Karl Jenkins Music Award in association with Classic FM is now open for entries. The award, which is now in its eighth year, is the UK's most prestigious new music prize, and is open to composers of all ages and nationalities.

The winner of the award will receive a £20,000 prize, and a world premiere performance of their work by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall in London. The winning piece will also be broadcast on Classic FM.

The award is open to any style of music, and composers are encouraged to submit works that are both original and accessible. The judges will be looking for pieces that are well-written, engaging, and have the potential to make a significant contribution to the musical landscape.

The deadline for entries is 25th October 2020. To enter, composers must submit a score and recording of their work, along with a completed entry form. The entry form can be downloaded from the Classic FM website.

The Arts Club Sir Karl Jenkins Music Award is a unique opportunity for composers to gain recognition for their work, and to have their music performed by one of the world's leading orchestras.
