Hertha Berlin Midfielder Confirms Departure

End of an Era for Former World Cup Star

Kevin-Prince Boateng, a former Ghanaian international and Champions League winner, has announced that he will retire from professional football at the end of the 2022/23 season. The 37-year-old midfielder confirmed the news in an interview with Hertha Berlin's official website.

Boateng, who previously played for clubs such as AC Milan, Barcelona, and Tottenham Hotspur, has been a key figure for Hertha this season. He has made 18 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals and providing three assists.

Boateng's retirement marks the end of an illustrious career that has spanned over 15 years. He made his professional debut in 2007 for Hertha Berlin and has since played for clubs in Germany, England, Italy, Spain, and Turkey. At international level, he represented Ghana at the 2010 and 2014 World Cups.
